WHAT IS DECA?
DECA's mission is to enhance the education of students with interests in Marketing, Finance, Hospitality, and Management. DECA helps students develop skills and business competence, build self-esteem, experience leadership and practice community service. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in high schools and colleges around the globe.
DECA HERE AT GREAT NECK NORTH:
The DECA chapter here at Great Neck North High School is committed to helping its members enhance their business knowledge and improve their competitive event skills. Students will network with other students who are interested in Business & Marketing to prepare for local, state and national competitions. Chapter dues are $75 per student, which includes National DECA dues, New York State DECA dues, and school club dues.
DECA MEMBERSHIP SCOPE:
DECA chapters operate in over 5,000 high schools and 200 colleges across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, and Canada. With over 200,000 members, DECA has a significant impact on today's youth.
DECA COMPETITIONS:
There are 3 competitions that the students can compete in during the school year. The Nassau County Regional Competition, The New York State Career Conference (held in Rochester, NY) and The International Career Development Conference, also known as "DECA Nationals" (different locations every year).

Meeting Days & Times: On a typical week, DECA meetings are held on Tuesdays @ 2:40 pm, in the New Lecture Hall (BK Arena). Please listen for morning/afternoon announcements for changes in dates, times, and meeting locations.
