My name is Jamie San Filippo, and I’m honored to serve as the newly appointed Athletic Director at Great Neck North High School. North High has a proud and rich tradition of athletic excellence, which is clearly reflected in its Hall of Fame and the many achievements of its student-athletes over the years.
I bring to this wonderful community over 21 years of experience in education and athletics. My background includes roles as a physical and health education teacher, coach, and athletic director within the Carle Place School District, the NYC Department of Education, and the Levittown School District. Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply passionate about student development, building strong team culture, and fostering community engagement.
I am committed to cultivating positive relationships with students, coaches, families, and the broader school community. As Athletic Director, my goal is to lead a program that promotes sportsmanship, leadership, academic achievement, and above all school pride.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, working out, coaching youth sports, and spending time with my family.
I hold a B.S. in Physical Education from LIU Post and an M.A. in Health Education from Adelphi University. I also have certifications in School Building Leadership (SBL) and School District Leadership (SDL) from The College of Saint Rose, along with a Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) credential from the NIAAA, NYS Coaching Certification, and CPR/First Aid certification.
